Bible Baptist Church

BBC is a friendly, Bible- preaching church in Elmont, New York. We are conveniently located on the border line of Nassau County and Queens County. Pastor James Barker We are only a couple of blocks from where the Belt Parkway, Cross Island Parkway, and Southern State Parkway meet (map). Our church is a diverse church with members from all over the world: the West Indies, Central America, South America, the Philippines, Africa, etc.

We have Sunday School classes for all ages. We are a soulwinning church, with members going out door to door distributing tracts on a weekly basis. We are trying to reach our community with the Gospel that Jesus saves from sin. Through our faith promise missions program we are supporting missionaries all over the world. We are facing a crisis in Christendom today. Many churches are abandoning the beautiful old hymns and replacing them with worldly rock-and-roll style choruses. The older saints are distressed. Many deliberately skip the song service; some stay home altogether. These same worldly "seeker-friendly" churches have thrown out our beloved Authorized King James Version, and are using inferior translations. Some of these "churches" have even removed the pulpit and have stopped preaching altogether. They now specialize in drama and "multimedia," loud rock music, clapping, swaying, dancing and all sorts of worldly foolishness. Fire and brimstone preaching is "out" and entertainment is "in." We believe in Biblical holiness and separation from the world. You will know you are in a New Testament church and NOT in some sort of night club or theater! "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls" (Jeremiah 6:16). "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy" (I Peter 1:15).
